But according to his former co-star Robert Patrick, this statement isn’t true, as in recent years, the development of Alan Ritchson in Reacher has far surpassed the amount of muscle that the action star used to pack back in the day.

Being the man who revolutionized the film industry, more specifically, popularizing the action genre to the prestigious mantle that it sits today, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s unreal physique, worthy of 7 Mr. Olympia titles back in the day, was a big contributing factor to his success.
But according to his Terminator 2: Judgement Day co-star Robert Patrick, some stars may have surpassed him in recent years.
In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, the Peacemaker star revealed that when he witnessed Alan Ritchson in person with his gargantuan physique while working together on the second season of Prime Video’s Reacher, he instantly knew that he was bigger than Schwarzenegger was when he was in his prime. Patrick said:

Alan’s bigger. Don’t tell Arnold I said that. But right now, Alan in his present state and age, he’s bigger. … Alan encompasses a lot of similarities in the size of his massiveness of muscle gain. And he moves very well. And Arnold moves very well. They’re both athletic guys.
Thus, it might be true that stars are starting to succeed in what Schwarzenegger built himself in the industry, but it’s still wonderful to see new stars trying to keep that legacy of ultra-muscular protagonists alive and popular.

A thorough execution of all these different attributes into a series has made Reacher an astronomical success with the audience.
