Taylor Swift sold one of her private jets just days before flying from Los Angeles to Tokyo to see boyfriend Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl.
The 14-time Grammy winner sold her $40 million Dassault Falcon 900LX to Missouri-based car insurance company Car Shield on January 30, and it is now estimated to be worth around $7 million second-hand, according to documents obtained.
According to Federal Aviation Administration records, Triangle Real Estate LLC is an additional owner, and Car Shield’s CEO Nicholas Hamilton is part of the group.
The car insurance company is worth approximately $150 million, and the jet’s new registered ownership address is CarShield’s headquarters in St Peters, Missouri.
Swift, 34, has been under pressure to reduce her carbon emissions after jet-setting around the world to spend time with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce, 34, while also performing the international leg of her Eras tour.
While many have urged the star to reduce her travel, the globetrotting superstar is unlikely to switch to commercial flights due to security concerns.
Swift sold her Dassault Falcon 900LX on January 30 to car insurance company Car Shield based in Missouri.
She purchased the jet for $40million in 2011, with FAA records showing that the 900LX was transferred to BoneDoc Aviation, LLC from SATA LLC in Nashville
She reportedly paid $40 million for the jet in 2011, and FAA records show that the 900LX was transferred to Triangle Real Estate from SATA LLC in Nashville, which is thought to stand for her family members’ names, after her father Scott, mother Andrea, Taylor, and brother Austin.
Triangle Real Estate LLC appears to have been looking for an upgrade after selling its $400k 1976 Cessna 421 on January 25th, opting for Swift’s larger plane instead.Hamilton, Triangle Real Estate LLC, and CarShield did not respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
Swift still owns her Dassault Falcon 7X, which would cost $54 million new. She has been using the jet as her primary mode of transportation during the Eras Tour.
According to Tennessee Secretary of State documents, the larger of her jets is registered to Island Jet Inc, which is affiliated with Taylor Swift Productions in Nashville, Tennessee, and SATA LLC.
She previously sold a smaller Dassault Falcon 50 jet in 2020, which she purchased for $4 million in 2012. Swift donated all proceeds to charity.
It is unclear whether Swift intends to upgrade her fleet just in time for the longest leg of her international tour, which begins on February 16 with a performance in Australia.
Swift’s lawyers have demanded that Jack Sweeney, 21, stop logging her flights and locations.
Sweeney, a junior at the University of Central Florida, has created multiple accounts to track the flight paths of planes and helicopters owned by celebrities, billionaires, politicians, and public figures.
The college student’s accounts use publicly available data and share estimates of their planet’s emissions. In 2022, he confronted Elon Musk for sharing his jet’s details.

According to FAA records, the plane ownership changed on January 30th, with Triangle Real Estate LLC appearing to have been looking for an upgrade after selling its $400k 1976 Cessna 421 on January 25, opting for Swift’s larger plane instead.
The singer still owns her Dassault Falcon 7X, which she has used as her primary mode of transportation throughout the Eras Tour.
Sweeney told DailyMail.com in a statement: ‘I think it’s important to note that I have no intention of causing harm. I think Swift’s songs are good.
“I believe in transparency and public information.”
According to the Washington Post, Swift’s lawyers stated that the 34-year-old pop star would ‘have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies’ if he continued his “stalking and harassing behavior.”
Swift’s lawyers wrote a letter to Jack Sweeney, 21, demanding that he stop logging her flights and locations.
It went on to say that Sweeney’s accounts had caused Swift and her family ‘direct and irreparable harm, as well as emotional and physical distress,’ and had increased her ‘constant state of fear for her personal safety’.The letter, delivered to Sweeney’s family home, stated that there was no ‘legitimate interest in or public need for this information, other than to stalk, harass, and exert dominion and control.’
Katie Wright Morrone of Venable law firm wrote the strongly worded cease and desist letter, accusing Sweeney of treating it like a ‘game’.
‘While this may be a game to you, or an opportunity to gain wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death situation for our client,’ Morrone added.
Swift has been targeted by stalkers, including a man arrested last month outside her Manhattan townhouse.
Her lawyers’ letter states that there is ‘no legitimate interest in or public need for this information, other than to stalk, harass, and exert dominion and control.’
Swift’s spokesperson said they could not comment on ongoing police investigations, but confirmed that the timing of the most recent arrest’suggests a connection’.
‘His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be,’ they said.
Sweeney believes the letter is an attempt to scare him into not sharing public data, and that he was ‘being more careful’ with what he shared about the pop star.
The letter arrived in December, just as Sweeney’s Facebook and Instagram accounts tracking Swift’s jets were disabled. A second letter arrived, accusing him of ‘harassing’ the star.
He stated that the threats of legal action came at a time when Swift was facing widespread criticism for the environmental impact of her flights while on tour for her Eras Tour and also traveling across the United States to watch her new beau Travis Kelce play in the NFL.
‘This information is already out there; her team believes they can control the world,’ Sweeney stated.

Authored by Katie Wright Morrone from Venable law firm, the strongly worded cease and desist accused Sweeney of treating it like a ‘game’.
After being named 2022’s biggest celebrity polluter of the year, her team quickly responded, claiming that she lends out her planes and purchased twice as many carbon emissions tokens as she needed for her touring travel.
However, the singer, who announced her 13th album at Sunday night’s Grammys, has faced new scrutiny for the planet-warming emissions of carbon dioxide released with each flight.
According to Instagram statistics, Taylor Swift’s Jets trips have resulted in 138 tons of CO2 emissions to date.
To compensate for the environmental damage caused by her flights, the singer would need to plant 2,282 trees and allow them to grow for a decade.
According to the Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator, it is the equivalent of 17 houses’ annual energy consumption or 26.9 homes’ annual electricity consumption.
The star is expected to attend the Super Bowl after traveling to watch Kelce and the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs. She has not confirmed her attendance.
Whether she is comforting Kelce after a loss or celebrating the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl victories, Swift must cross the globe again and arrive in Australia five days later to continue her Eras Tour.
Swift, 34, has been under pressure to reduce her carbon footprint after jet-setting across the world to spend time with Travis Kelce while on tour.
San Francisco and Kansas City will compete in the Super Bowl for the second time this decade, with the Chiefs winning Super Bowl LIV in 2020.
The Bad Blood singer is scheduled to perform in Melbourne, Australia, on February 16 at 6 p.m.
She will perform three nights at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for four shows beginning February 23.
After topping the 2022 pollution rankings, Taylor’s representative fired back, claiming Swift frequently allows others to fly her Falcon 7X jet around the world.
However, there is no doubt that she has been onboard the jet during the numerous flights between Kansas City, New York, and several other destinations since September.
The journeys used 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, which is estimated to be worth $70,779.
Swift traveled from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Kansas City, with a stopover in Tampa, Florida.
The journey used 4,151 gallons of fuel, which is estimated to be worth $23,250.
Swift’s spokesperson told DailyMail.com that she was working to reduce carbon emissions from her jets by traveling less frequently than in previous years.
‘Before the tour began in March 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits required to offset all tour travel,’ the spokesperson explained.
Taylor’s excess credits could have covered her latest romance, which arose in the midst of her sell-out tour, with her trips to support Kelce increasing her carbon emissions in addition to her planned tour travels.
According to FAA records, the Falcon 50’s registration was transferred from SATA LLC in Nashville to a new entity called BoneDoc Aviation LLC on March 16.
