Looking back on her acting career, Angelina Jolie said that ‘she never thought she would become a Hollywood star’.

In a cover interview with WSJ magazine in the December 2023 and January 2024 issues, Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie (48 years old) shared that she “didn’t become an actress if she went back to the past” and added that “When I started my business, I didn’t expect to be so famous.”

Faced with inaccurate news about her, she said she doesn’t read it. “Because I grew up around Hollywood , I was never very impressed with it. I never considered Hollywood important,” Angelina Jolie commented.

The actress admitted in the interview that she “doesn’t really have a social life” and is “not dating anyone right now”.

“My best friends are all refugees. Probably 4 out of 6 women I’m close with are from countries with war or conflict,” Jolie revealed.

And the people she is closest to are her children: twins Knox and Vivienne (15 years old); 2 daughters: Shiloh (17 years old), Zahara (18 years old); 2 sons: Pax Thien (20 years old), Maddox (22 years old).

The Maleficent star told WSJ : “The children are the closest people to me, my close friends in life.”

In a recent Vogue cover story about her new fashion line, Atelier Jolie, the actress and director explained why she’s taking on fewer film roles and even wondered if she “has Do you still understand who you are at the age of 48?”
