Actress Angelina Jolie has revealed the reason she decided to leave the film industry due to being “exposed” too much. The actress wants to leave Hollywood to live in a place like Cambodia after ending her “divorce battle” with Brad Pitt.

Over the past seven years, Angelina Jolie has been the name always mentioned in negotiations and court proceedings related to child custody and property division with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. During this time, Jolie put her career aside and mainly focused on staying home, prioritizing her children over work.

The film world has seen little of Jolie’s appearance with only 5 appearances on screen. In fact, the last time she appeared on the red carpet was in 2021 to promote the Marvel movie Eternals in which she starred. 

Angelina Jolie revealed her plan to move away from “unhealthy Los Angeles” and spend time in Cambodia – where she acted in two parts of the movie The Secret of the Ancient Tomb in the early 2000s and adopted her son Maddox.

However, Angelina cannot currently move where she lives because she is still in a “battle” for custody of her children with her ex-husband – actor Brad Pitt. “That’s part of what happens after a divorce. I lose the ability to settle somewhere else and travel freely,” Angelina explained. “I’ll move when I can.”

As the daughter of actor Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand – a native of Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie has lived in this city since childhood but she was never really impressed with this place.

She dislikes the “superficial” life in Hollywood and admits “there’s not really a social life” here. Angelina’s closest friends are all refugees, according to the actress.

The actress currently resides in Los Angeles with her 6 children, including: Maddox 22 years old, Pax Thien 20 years old, Zahara 18 years old, Shiloh 17 years old, twins Knox and Vivienne 15 years old. She broke up with actor Brad Pitt in 2016 and temporarily received custody of all 6 children after the divorce.
