Angelina Jolie says she has no qualms about her six kids borrowing her outfits, after some of them showed up to a recent premiere wearing her old red carpet outfits

Angelina Jolie wants her kids to borrow her clothes – and wear them better than her.

The Eternals star recently rocked up to a premiere of the Marvel movie with some of her children wearing her previous red carpet gowns and now the Hollywood actress has given them the green light to wear whatever of hers they want.

Angelina explained how she wants her kids to borrow her clothes and “wear them better” too.

“I’m like, ‘Oh my god, wear it and wear it better than me! Take it, it’s your turn.’ I’m that mum!” she told E! News’ Daily Pop.

Angelina’s eldest daughter Zahara, 16, showed up to the recent premiere in the stunning silver beaded Elie Saab Haute Couture gown that Angelina wore to the Oscars in 2014.

Shiloh, 15, wore an outfit which was created from the beige Gabriela Hearst dress that Angelina wore on a recent trip to Paris.

Eternals was an important movie for Angelina to be involved in as she wanted to be part of a film that “represents the world we live in”. She also revealed she signed up without even reading the script.

She added: “It was now going to be a family that represented the world we live in, and for that, I said, ‘I don’t care the size of my role or what it is, I just want to back that family.’

“I wanted to see this family onscreen, so we all joined without having read the script. We all joined with a lot of faith but understanding that there was a message behind this film, that we are stronger together, and that this was going to be a very diverse, inclusive and different family. It was a love letter to humanity.”

Angelina previously suggested that children might be feeling ‘confined’ during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“There’s something about the captivity of it too that I think was sadly speaking to children and helping each other through with feeling confined,” she told Variety.

“I think it spoke to kids and touched at a good time.”

She also revealed she had recently moved to be close to her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Angelina added: “I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away.

“I felt a little pressure moving in. Like I had snuck into where DeMille and Chaplin would hang out. I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time.”
