Cardi B and Offset rang in the new year together amid their ongoing relationship drama.

After fans captured footage of the rap superstar, 31, and the Migos member, 32, celebrating New Year’s Eve together at a club in Miami, Cardi B took to social media to clarify the status of their relationship, since she previously confirmed their split in December.

In a now-expired Spaces livestream on X (formerly Twitter) that fans recorded, the “WAP” rapper confirmed that they did spend the holiday together, but admitted that she won’t consider their relationship to be reconciled until they work on their issues as a couple and individually.

The Grammy winner began the live chat by referring to the viral clip of her dancing next to the Set It Off artist, with whom she tied the knot in 2017.

“I want to be clear to you guys because you guys are making your assumptions and I just wanted you to hear it from the horse’s mouth. Was I clubbing with my baby father yesterday? Yes. Did I got dicked down yesterday? Absolutely, baby.”

Cardi B (whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) added that she and Offset were “vibing” and “had a good time,” and then opened up about how the two — who both performed at different Miami Beach venues earlier that night — ended up partying together.

“We was both in the same club and it was just really awkward. Like, I’m in my section, he’s in his section,” she explained. “So it’s like, ‘Man, just f—ing come over here. Let’s just chill. We’re having a good time.’”

After the “Bongos” performer clarified what happened on Sunday, she spoke candidly about why she doesn’t consider herself and Offset — with whom she shares daughter Kulture Kiari, 5, and son Wave Set, 2 — to be an item at this time

“I feel at the point of where we at in our relationship — we’ve been together for seven years, we’ve been married for seven years — I don’t consider that we’re back together,” the hip-hop star admitted.

“The answer to getting back together is not a good night at the club and f—ing the night long. We need to work on our s—, we need to work on our communication, there’s things that he needs to work on, there’s things that I need to work on.”

Cardi B continued by saying that she believes the two still love each other, but recognizes that one night out “doesn’t solve the issues” in their marriage. “It’s a fun night, then guess what, the next day we’re arguing, the next day I’m blocking. The next thing you know, we aren’t talking for four days. I don’t want to keep that cycle going,” she said.

The hitmaker also clarified that she and the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper do still talk, but aren’t living under the same roof right now. “We’re at a point in our relationship where we’re testing the space,” the recording artist shared.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper concluded her update to fans by revealing that she and Offset (whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus) are in couples therapy. “That’s why I’m saying that we’re not together until we work out our issues,” she said. “If it goes well, then we will be back together. If it doesn’t go well, then it doesn’t go well, but I always want to keep the healthy relationship.”

New Year’s Eve was not the first time in recent weeks that the musicians have linked up since separating. Just days prior, fans spotted them together in New York City.

News of their split first broke in early December when Cardi B shared in an Instagram Live that she had been “single for a minute now.”

“But I have been afraid… Not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been, like, a sign,” she told fans. “I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah… I’m excited.”

Shortly after the star opened up about the status of her marriage to the fellow hitmaker, a source told PEOPLE that the couple’s relationship has been “tumultuous.” The said, “They’ve broken up and gotten back together and broken up again way more than the public has seen.”

However, the insider also added, “They’ve had really good times together.”
