David Beckham has revealed wife Victoria has broken her foot following a nasty gym accident.

The retired England football captain, 48, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a picture of her poor foot strapped up in a black medical boot.

“Apparently my wife’s little accident in the gym was a clean break…” he wrote in the accompanying caption.

The former Spice Girl-turned-Fashion designer had previously told her fans she had hurt herself during a session in the gym on Valentine’s Day.

Sharing a picture of herself with her foot covered in ice at the time, the fitness enthusiast penned: “Happy Valentine’s Day to me… fell over in the gym!!!”

David didn’t seem particularly full of sympathy for his wife of 24 years as he poked fun at her in the comments section, replying: “How big is your toe? Wow I never noticed that before.”

The timing of Victoria’s injury couldn’t have been worse as it was just two days shy of London Fashion Week starting.

Despite her affliction, the Wannabe hit-maker refused to negotiate when it came to her love of high heels and was snapped in pictures obtained by the MailOnline stepping out in £890 Coeur pumps from Alaïa on her good foot as she left Dorian Bistro in Notting Hill on Thursday. It’s not the first time that Victoria has had to sport a medical boot.

She was pictured wearing one back in 2018 when she revealed she had suffered a small stress fracture on her foot.

She wrote at the time: “Thank you for all the lovely messages, a small stress fracture, just needs some rest! #itsnotideal.”
