On Friday, Selena stepped out in New York City and fans are convinced she was wearing an engagement ring.

The star wore all black as she left a building in the Big Apple on Friday night.

Selena donned a long black dress with a matching black coat that hid her body from public view.

She wore light makeup and her brunette locks were lightly curled and pulled back from her face.

The singer held a black bad in one hand while she kept her coat in place with the other.

On her hand, a huge silver diamond ring was visible on her ring finger as she was ushered along by security guards.

One fan noticed this strange detail and took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss their thoughts.

They posted the photo and added the caption: “Selena Gomez displayed an engagement ring on her finger during her first public appearance since confirming her romance with Benny Blanco in New York.”

Fans flooded the comments with confusion at the supposed star’s engagement.

“There’s something crazy in the air this week because what?” one person wrote as another added, “Oh this is moving fast!”

A third commented: “Congratulations to Selanco.”

“The way she’s literally showing it off to the camera,” someone noted.

However, some fans weren’t convinced that this was a genuine engagement.

Meanwhile, Benny’s face was mostly out of frame.

A black and white filter was placed over the snap.

The couple’s photo seemingly confirmed the dating rumors, igniting a reaction from the entertainer’s supporters.

Several fans commented on the tweet, celebrating the A-listers for getting together.

Their viral post was a screenshot from Selena’s Instagram account.

The screenshot of Selena’s Instagram comment section included in the tweet showed her replying to fans, revealing her feelings for Benny.

“He is my absolute everything in my heart,” Selena wrote in one comment.

In another, she replied to one fan: “Then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”
