Travis Kelce joked about the increased attention surrounding him and his family amid his relationship with Taylor Swift after his ‘dinner’ with Christian McCaffrey made headlines.

The Kansas City Chiefs star has found himself in the limelight amid his high-profile romance with the pop superstar and the tight end has not failed to spot the headlines.

The Super Bowl champion was recently in the news after he dined at Nobu in Malibu at the same time as San Francisco 49ers star McCaffrey and his fiancée Olivia Culpo.

Travis revealed on his New Heights podcast with brother Jason that he wasn’t even aware that the running back was at the hotspot until TMZ broke the news.

‘I went to California and got caught going to Nobu at the same time as Christian McCaffrey,’ Travis said.

‘You went to dinner together,’ Jason jokingly interjected.

‘No, we didn’t,’ Travis continued. ‘But if I’d known that him and Olivia were there I would have sent over a drink or at least gone over and said congrats on an unbelievable season.

‘I’ve got so much respect for that guy and the all the 49ers that we played. If knew he was there I would have said hello but I didn’t see that he was there and sure enough, TMZ is throwing it out there.’

Jason, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday after 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, went on to joke about the media attention surrounding the family.

‘It’s remarkable, it really is,’ he said. ‘There’s such a rush to get things out there.’

‘They are enjoying us saying that it wasn’t real, it’s attention to them and they just love attention,’ Travis added.

Jason went on to make up some headlines of his own, quipping: ‘That photo of me, Zak Galifanakis as the hangover, is crazy. There’s a three-year video of Wyatt, people made it sound like she was playing center. People will say anything, anything that get them likes and clicks.’

Kelce and McCaffrey’s Nobu run-in came just over two weeks on from the Super Bowl when the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

The tight end reportedly dined with a group of friends while his girlfriend was in Singapore ahead of performing over the weekend.

Meanwhile, McCaffrey and Culpo were said to be there for an event for Dolce Glow, a self-tanning brand.
