Lady Gaga turned heads in New York this week when she stepped out in a pair of platform heels that looked incredibly difficult to walk in.

The Bad Romance singer was snapped twice tottering around the streets of New York in the 9-inch lace-up platform boots by Pleaser Shoes, which retail at $112.95.

Originally pictured leaving a studio in the heels, which aren’t for the faint hearted, the 35-year-old star was later spotted strolling about in the boots for a second time in a new stunning outfit.

Pairing the skyscraper heels with a mini black dress, dark shades and fluffy white white cover up, the petite singer put on an eye-catching display as she made her way around New York on Tuesday.

Thankfully, the singer only had to make her way across the pavement from the car so there were no lengthy walks involved.

The day before, Lady Gaga, teamed the very same boots with a longer number – wearing an ankle-length a black Magda Butrym cutout dress as she left a recording studio.

Fans were thrilled to see the stylish star return to her headline grabbing looks, taking to social media to offer their opinions on the A Star is Born actress’ latest fashion statement.

“Shoutout to lady gaga’s nyc high heels gotta be one of my favourite genres,” one fan mused on Twitter, with another writing: “lady gaga in skyhigh [sic] heels is everything!”

A third fan complimented the star’s commitment to statement shoes, tweeting: “If @ladygaga was at the #Olympics it would be at “High Heels Marathon”

The 5’2 singer’s love of avant-garde looks over the years have made her almost as well known for her fashion statements as well her hit singles.

From the infamous meat dress, to her trademark leotards, Lady Gaga’s style statements have been a major part of her identity as an artist since she rose to fame in 2008.

“I’m always inspired by the greats. I look back at Ginger Rogers, and even though I might not be dressing like her, she’s been a big inspiration for me – as well as Ella Fitzgerald,” the star told Vogue back in 2014 when discussing her style.

“Ella didn’t care how she looked. She wasn’t worried about anyone thinking she’s beautiful. She was worried about giving the most honest, authentic performance that she could.”

The 35-year-old pop star then went on to discuss how her style relates to her day-job of singing.

When asked by the publication how she sees the relationship between her music and what she wears, the award-winning artist confessed she doesn’t concern herself with whether she has “sex appeal” when on stage.

“Truthfully, I like to be as comfortable as possible when I’m onstage singing jazz. I don’t like to be thinking about if I look beautiful or not, or if there’s any sex appeal,” she explained ahead of her duet with Tony Bennett in 2014.

“Those things are distractions for me. I need to sing with my whole body and mind. I have to really focus on my vocal inflections. I don’t like to have any choreography or routine.

“I just want to feel totally natural, and I believe that will produce the most honest interpretation of the song.”
