So THIS is how Lady Gaga got all that makeup off to sing at the Oscars

It’s been bugging us all week, and everyone else it seems, but just how did Lady Gaga get that full face of makeup off after walking the red carpet at the Oscars?

We can’t even figure out the timeframe of it all, but it looked like Gaga was wearing very detailed makeup with her off-the-runway Versace gown with its risque long netted corset.

It felt like the next minute that she then appeared in a plainblack t-shirt and ripped jeans without a screed of makeup on to sing her song from Top Gun that was nominated for a trophy on the night.

Both Lady Gaga and Rihannna performed their nominated songs with neither winning anything because the Oscar went to someone else, as is always the way with the big awards night.

Lady Gaga was made up by her usual MUA, Sarah Tanno, and her red carpet look was inspired by Robert Palmer’s ‘Addicted to Love’ video.

This explains the full-on red lip and smoky eye (another thing we were wondering about, it was very ’80s), but then we blinked our eyes and it was gone.

And here was Gaga with completely flawless skin, and not a single indication she had been in a fierce battle with a pack of makeup remover wipes. So, what actually happened, the people need to know? There has been an update on the matter that we can share.

On the night, there were hilarious tweets and reaction online. Naturally, everyone wanted to know the name or brand Tanno used to remove Lady Gaga’s makeup, and there was plenty of references to panda eyes and how the average makeup resists most cleansers for whatever reason.

But then Tanno has shared an image of what she’s called ‘The Aftermath’ in one of her stories on Instagrmam.

It’s like a scene from ‘we had too much wine last night’ the sequel, when using some micellar water and cotton pads is beyond you.

This after math is carnage, it looks like sheets and cloths with more than a little makeup smeared across them. Many times Tanno has said she loves to use Lancome Bi-Facial for makeup removal, and argan oil is another favourite of the pair to get waterproof makeup off.

What do you think, maybe a litre of each was used behind-the-scenes? We can rest easy for the weekend and stop having to wonder any more about this. TG, it was tiring!
