JAY-Z and Rihanna are two of the richest people in the world, according to Forbes. In 2023, Forbes released its list of the wealthiest individuals, with 2,640 billionaires included. JAY-Z, also known as Shawn Carter, is ranked as the 1217th wealthiest person, with a net worth of $2.5 billion. The hip-hop mogul became hip-hop’s first billionaire in 2019 and has continued to grow his wealth through various business ventures. Recently, he sold his stake in the cognac brand D’USSÉ to Bacardi for $750 million, but still holds a significant ownership stake in the brand. His portfolio also includes Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac, the luxury champagne brand he co-owns with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Rihanna is ranked as the 2020th wealthiest person, with a net worth of $1.4 billion. The 35-year-old businesswoman has built an empire with her Fenty Beauty line and lingerie company, Savage x Fenty. Her successful ventures have helped her amass a significant fortune and solidify her status as one of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

On the other hand, Kanye West, who was previously ranked as the 1513th wealthiest person with a net worth of $2 billion, has fallen off the list. This drop in ranking can be attributed to adidas terminating its partnership with him following his controversial remarks.

Elon Musk, who held the title of the world’s richest person, has fallen to No. 2 with a net worth of $180 billion after Tesla shares were devalued due to his acquisition of Twitter. The current richest person in the world is Bernard Arnault, CEO of luxury goods empire LVMH, with a net worth of $211 billion.
