Ice Spice wants to REPLACE Nicki Minaj on “New Body” | Meagan Good SNUBBED by the industry? | HO

Nicki Minaj has been unwilling to clear her verse for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s song “New Body,” causing delays in its release. Despite the song being leaked and gaining viral attention, Nicki refuses to grant permission for her verse to be officially released. This reluctance stems from her frustration with Kanye’s unpredictable behavior and demands during their collaborations.

Kanye’s history of making artists redo their work and his sporadic release schedule have left Nicki feeling exasperated. She had to re-record her verse for “Monster” multiple times and rewrite her verse for “New Body” on several occasions. Despite her efforts, Nicki has grown tired of dealing with Kanye’s demands and has moved on from that phase of her career.

In an attempt to move forward with the song, Kanye sought to replace Nicki’s verse with another artist. He expressed interest in artists like Doja Cat and Icy Spice to fill Nicki’s spot. However, Icy Spice’s team declined the offer due to concerns about potential conflicts of interest, particularly regarding her relationship with Taylor Swift and Kanye’s past actions involving Swift.

While Doja Cat’s involvement remains uncertain, Icy Spice’s team’s refusal indicates a reluctance to be associated with Kanye’s controversial history. Despite Kanye’s efforts to salvage the song, the absence of Nicki’s iconic verse poses a significant obstacle to its release.

Meanwhile, Megan Good’s sister, Laya, expressed frustration with the entertainment industry’s failure to recognize Megan’s contributions. Despite Megan’s extensive career spanning over 30 years and involvement in various projects, she has yet to receive significant recognition or awards for her work.

Laya highlighted Megan’s dedication to mentoring young women and her impact on the industry. She emphasized Megan’s consistent presence and contributions, calling for her to receive the acknowledgment she deserves. Laya’s impassioned plea reflects a broader sentiment regarding the lack of recognition for certain artists in the entertainment industry.

KANYE WEST’S ‘NEW BODY’ WAS SENT TO ICE SPICE & DOJA CAT TO REPLACE NICKI MINAJ

Kanye West had the beat for “New Body” sent to Doja Cat and Ice Spice after Nicki Minaj turned it down.

According to text messages leaked by Ye’s former team member YesJulz on Tuesday (March 19), she apparently sent the track to both artists mentioned above to see “who sounds best” according to her boss.

“I am not an influencer,” she wrote in the caption. “I am a manager, producer, host, A&R, consultant, friend, and most importantly, an honest, loyal, and hard-working single mother.”

YesJulz (real name Julianne Goddard) didn’t specify why exactly she was leaking the texts in the first place. Check it out below:

Kanye West recently revealed that he is taking YesJulz to court for allegedly violating her NDA as he prepared to hit her with an $8 million bill.

In an Instagram Story posted by Ye last week, he revealed that he has filed what is known as a Notice of Intent to Arbitrate Before the Judicate, which is a precursor to a lawsuit. In it, he claims his ex-employee “repeatedly, intentionally, and grossly” violated the terms of their non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which in turn prompted the lawsuit.

“To say Goddard suffers from a lack of impulse control would be to excuse her from responsibility for behavior that is hurtful, hateful and destructive; it is to give her pattern of mendacious, malicious, manipulative outbursts a pass,” he claimed, noting that the alleged damages were “in excess of $8 million.”

Kanye West fired Goddard and fined her almost $8 million over NDA violations, after which she publicized a series of damaging messages from a senior member of his team.

The rapper and producer cut ties with her last week, writing on his Instagram Stories: “We have decided to no longer have YesJulz involved in the rollout of Vultures. All the activity on her page and with our fans in the past few days has been unauthorized.”

An email purportedly written by Yeezy chief of staff and far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos that was sent to the influencer was leaked soon after.

“Dear Ms. Goddard, enclosed please find a letter and statement of account from your time with Yeezy. Fines incurred to date as a result of your NDA violations come to $7.7m,” the email read.

“While you were a contractor, I suspended enforcement of this debt. It now falls due. Hassan from the compliance team will reach out with information about payment. Please note that any further violations will accrue more fines.

“Because you are being terminated for cause but also because you forgot to sign your contract your termination is effective immediately.”

In a follow-up email, he wrote: “Obviously, you are fired.”
