Kim Kardashian has wowed fans as she showed off how she got ready for the Oscars red carpet and her showstopping white dress outfit.

The reality TV star showed off a strapless white dress from fashion brand Balenciaga which she accessorised with sunglasses for a behind the scenes look before attending the Vanity Fair party for the 96th Academy Awards.

Sharing the completed stylish look with her fans on Instagram, Kim captioned a series of snaps as she wrote: “OSCARS 2024 Vanity Fair Party in Balenciaga Couture”. In the first snap she struck a model style pose showing off her white strapless gown to perfection, paired with her sleek dark hair left loose.

Fans praised the reality star for her red carpet look, as one wrote: “This is probably one of your absolute best looks, keep this energy!” Another added: “Kimmy this is your look” whilst a third shared: “You are soooo beautiful”.

However note all fans were pleased with Kim’s outfit choice, with many pointing out her support for controversial fashion brand Balenciaga. The brand came under criticism in 2022 after it created and shared a campaign featuring children holding teddy bears in bondage harnesses and costumes. The brand was hit with calls for it to be boycotted as the hashtag #cancelBalenciaga trended across Twitter, Instagram and TikTok and many people accusing the brand and its creative director, Demna, ᴏғ ᴄᴏɴᴅᴏɴɪɴɢ ᴘᴇᴅᴏᴘʜɪʟɪᴀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴄʜɪʟᴅ ᴇxᴘʟᴏɪᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ.

Some fans pointed out the scandal in the comments on Kim’s Instagram, as one wrote: “Isn’t this the company she swore to never wear or deal with and everytime you look up she is wearing this brand, but I don’t know why people are in shock she lost her soul a decade ago”. Another shared: “So much for her stance on ᴘᴇᴅᴏᴘʜɪʟɪᴀ…shameful”. A third agreed as they added: “Seriously? You have kids… guess money is more important?”

When the scandal first broke, Kim condemned the brand that she had long supported. Writing on Instagram, she wrote: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns.” Her statement went on to say she was currently reevaluating her future relationship with the brand, “basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with”.

The oscars Vanity Fair party also added further fuel to the fire about Kim’s rumored romance with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr, as they were seen entering a Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Oscars afterparty in Los Angeles, with them later recorded being very close together as she put his hands on his face while he held her by the waist.
