“The next time I saw her I avoided her because I don’t like feeling that way. I don’t want to be around anybody who doesn’t make me feel important.” – Jennifer Lopez Did Tommy Davidson Dirty

Tommy Davidson Recalls Shady Encounter with Jennifer Lopez

*Tommy Davidson is speaking out again about his former “In Living Color” castmate Jennifer Lopez and how she dissed him on several occasions.

“I remember seeing her, and this ain’t no JLo bashing ’cause she’s crazy talented. Come one! And she’s a great actress, too,” he explained to Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast. “We used to hang out with me, her, my ex. We used to go to dinner together. I met her with Keenan in Strictly Business.”

When the comedian reunited with the actress years later at the height of her fame, she acted brand new and indifferent towards him.

“So, I saw her at the Upfront,” he stated. “It’s me and Danny DeVito. And he’s like, ‘That’s Jennifer Lopez over there. You know her, right?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I know her.’ So, I go over there, and I’m like, ‘What’s up, girl? Man, you blew up. What is going on?’”

Davidson claims Lopez played him shady and continued eating.

“What’s in that carrot dip? She’s sure dippin’ my ass,” he said on Sharpe’s YouTube show on Oct. 11.

This is not the first time Davidson has recounted how Lopez snubbed him when she reached A-list status.

Davidson and Lopez starred together on the hit sketch comedy series “In Living Color” from 1990-1994. Her Hollywood career was launched due to her start as a Fly Girl on the show. Speaking to Wendy Williams in 2021 about his book “Living In Color,” Davidson recalled when Lopez barely acknowledged him at an event years after the series wrapped.

“You know what? I thought about that now. I’m sensitive. It just has to do with what I’m used to. When I have a personal relationship with someone and we talk a lot, when I see them again, I pick it up from where it was,” he explained to Wendy. “I hadn’t seen her in a long time. She became hugely famous, wonderful actress, does so much. And so I’m looking for that same personal relationship that was there before. And people are just people. It’s not about her, it’s about me.”

Davidson, who said the incident took place 15 years ago, added: “We were both at the cracker and cheese table at some function and I was like, ‘Girl! Aw man, you’re blowing up! This is really cool.’ I got a carrot, I was about to eat the carrot, and she was like ‘Yeah,’ and walked away. I was like… ‘Maybe something’s wrong with this carrot.’”

Despite the diss, Davidson appeared to be positive about it while speaking to Wendy.

“But the beautiful thing is you know, love doesn’t go away, and the key to the whole thing is she’s Puerto Rican! You can not be hating on no Puerto Rican, you know what I’m saying? It’s just hard not to love ’em,” he said.
