Cardi B is set to release a new song this week — and it sounds like she has a lot to get off her chest.

On Wednesday (February 28), the Bronx rap star unveiled the cover art for her next track “Like What Freestyle” ahead of its release on Friday (March 1).

She also shared a brief yet fiery snippet of the song that suggests she’ll be addressing her female rap rivals who’ve been running their mouth about her.

“Ayo, let me throw some gas on this muthafuckin’ year, bitch. I ain’t really talked my shit in a minute. Who the fuck these bitches really think they talking to? Bitch, is you fucking dumb?” she says in the clip.

The song, which serves as her first solo release since last year’s “Bongos,” prominently samples Missy Elliott‘s 1999 hit “She’s a Bitch.”

While Cardi B doesn’t name any names in the snippet, fans were quick to speculate that she might have bars ready for Nicki Minaj, with whom she’s been embroiled in a simmering feud for years.

Cardi most recently caught a stray when Nicki went on a rant after Billboard allegedly discounted 100,000 first-week sales of her Pink Friday 2 album due to her “100 Barbz” contest requiring fans to buy four copies each.

While calling out the publication, the Young Money hitmaker made reference to Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” campaign in which they joined forces with Cash App to donate $1 million to women in need.

“Been discussing my 100 barbz contest for months. They said billboard reached out to say they gon take away sales for me telling y’all about the 100 barbz thing. Can’t wait until these next 6 hours are up so I can tell y’all some shit,” Nicki wrote on X.

“You can give out millions in cashapp money tho. Lol. So barbz, me asking you to show PROOF of something that was already DELIVERED OR PURCHASED IS AGAINST THE RULES. SO pls disregard. Apologies.”

Shortly after, Cardi appeared to hit back by liking a post that pointed out some key differences between her and Megan’s “WAP” campaign and Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 contest.

“The CashApp partnership for WAP was during the end of the second week. It was already number one and it required NO proof of purchase and didn’t even require you to be a Cardi fan,” it read. “The only requirement was that you had to be a WOMAN who could use the extra funds.”

Cardi allegedly tried to attack Minaj during a fashion week party but the “Anaconda” rapper’s security intervened.

Video footage from the party showed Cardi lunging towards somebody and being held back by security. A separate clip showed the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker being escorted out of the party with a large lump on her forehead.

She was also seen leaving the party barefoot after allegedly throwing her shoes at Nicki during the altercation.

Cardi later claimed that she attacked Minaj because she had criticized her parenting: “For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
