Paris Hilton handed out bottles of her perfume and cushions with her name across the front as she visited survivors of the 2017 Mexican earthquake on Monday.

The 37-year-old heiress singed gift sets and posed for pictures with some of those whose homes were destroyed in the 7.1 magnitude quake which killed 370 and wounded 6,000 when it struck in September last year.

At one point she even knelt down in order to kiss a pregnant woman’s baby bump, then struck poses and flashed a peace sign as cameras clicked around her

Hilton arrived in San Gregorio, on the outskirts of Mexico City, as she donated $350,000 to help rebuild the city, which was badly hit in the quake.

Of the 370 who died, 228 came from Mexico City, where more than 40 buildings were toppled by the tremor.

Flanked by security, Hilton – who has an estimated worth of $300million – wore patterned jeans, a dark top and large sunglasses as she struck poses for the waiting photographers.

Paris arrived in San Gregorio in jeans and a shirt – having dressed down following a red carpet event to promote her new line of shoes just the day before

The socialite walked down the red carpet on Sunday night decked out in black lace with diamond-studded earrings and a large, jewel-encrusted necklace.

On Monday, she opted for a more sombre ensemble as she visited the disaster-hit slum.

It is not the first time that Paris has visited the victims of the earthquake. She arrived in San Gregorio just two months after the quake where she handed out more branded pillows and took photographs with the children.

The Peubla earthquake was one of the deadliest and most destructive to hit Mexico in recent years, destroying an estimated 200,000 homes and leaving 4million children without a permanent school place.

Paris's money will go towards efforts to help rebuild parts of Mexico City, with charities warning that healthcare is still limited and many children do not have schools to attend

Some families were reduced to living in makeshift tent camps after their homes were levelled, while others sheltered with neighbours.

A year on from the disaster, charity International Community Foundation reports that many people are still without permanent shelter or basic healthcare.

‘The challenge of providing shelter, food, clean drinking water, and proper sanitation continues daily,’ the charity wrote in a February report.

‘Organized hygiene efforts help, but people still require medical care and their access to it has been reduced by the earthquake.

‘A significant number of children have not yet returned to the classroom, after their schools were disrupted by the disaster.

‘The delay in education could have long-term consequences for these children, especially because the nation is already struggling to provide quality education to its youth.

‘Efforts are underway to help bring them back to school as soon as possible — and to monitor the wellbeing of the children who are still out of school.

‘This is an ongoing process in need of continued funding and assistance.’
