The Voice Coach and the cook book author have been married for 10 years.

In a new, revealing interview with Drew Barrymore, Chrissy Teigen opened up to the talk show host about the ups and downs of her 10-year marriage to The Voice Coach (Seasons 16-22, 24) and music superstar John Legend, and she says they face challenges every couple must overcome at some point. Namely, differing personalities, and dealing with a bunch of kids. We get that.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s biggest battle is sibling rivalry

“I don’t even have advice [on relationship longevity]. I found someone really great,” Teigen admitted to Barrymore on her talk show.

However, just because she appreciates her husband doesn’t mean their four young children — Luna, Miles, Esti and Wren — are always so grateful for one another.

“I think our biggest battles are trying to get our kids to get along together,” Teigen said, though even that, she was able to spin into a positive, saying, “That part of it is so fun, seeing us grow into parents. We were kids when we got together and now we have so many kids.”

Chrissy Teigen reveals she and John Legend fight about not fighting

Their other ongoing argument, it seems, is that Legend is so naturally calm, while Teigen’s more passionate. “If we’re arguing about something — he doesn’t argue often honestly and one of our fights is that he doesn’t fight enough. You know when the passion’s there and you want him to get riled up about something and it’s just not there?” Teigen recalled.

And once again, she could see this as both an obstacle and a gift, saying, “He brings me down to a level where I’m like, ‘okay, I’m being overreactive and a little crazy.’ I’m a very anxious person. I get very nervous. I’m very tough on myself. So for someone to come in and be the calming force in all of that is very important.”

How The Voice changed John Legend’s style

Teigen had almost nothing but kind words about her husband, claiming he is, “really as good and pure as you could imagine a man to be. He really is that good. Everyone’s like, ‘is he so nice?’ Yes. He’s nice, he’s sweet, he’s kind, he’s brilliant. I hate saying all this. His levels of empathy for other people…he’s just like a sponge of kindness and goodness.”

But one area where she does have a tiny bone to pick is with his tendency to wear too many prints. And it’s all NBC’s fault!

“Ever since he started The Voice, his style became poppier and much more in your face,” she revealed. “He loves a print now. He won’t stop with the [patterned] pants.” Blame Gwen Stefani?
