After tennis and soccer, Serena Williams‘ husband, Alexis Ohanian, makes a move towards golf! Being a part of Tiger Woods’ TGL as one of the team owners, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur has openly embraced the sport. Ohanian had previously complimented Paige Spiranac by calling her the ‘real deal’, and now the Reddit co-founder came up with a four-word remark for golf.
From giving golf lessons to his daughter to admiring the sport himself, the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s husband has come a long way. However, what is one of the most important reasons behind Ohanian’s growing interest in golf?
The reason behind Serena Williams’ husband’s admiration for golf
Along with Serena and Venus Williams, Ohanian is one of the first to have a team in the TGL (Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s Golf League). Focusing on the way golf connects a lot of people around the world, Ohanian took to his Twitter account to share a video of people playing golf, in a rough area surrounded by trees, that is practically in the middle of nature.
Along with the video, the 40-year-old entrepreneur wrote, “Golf is for everyone.” Interestingly, Alexis Ohanian iterated the same thing when he posted his golf moments with his daughter Olympia a few months ago. Ohanian had written: “On Sundays I’m Daddy Caddy. #GolfForEverybody @wearelagc”
However, this is not the first time that the 40-year-old American entrepreneur has appreciated the sport or someone related to it. Just a few months ago, he also appreciated the golf glamour girl, Paige Spiranac, for becoming a trailblazer in golf.
The 30-year-old is quite a popular face on the internet. Additionally, she has used her social media to promote golf and stand by female athletes. A few months ago, looking into her contribution to golf, Ohanian talked about how she might have cracked the code of getting the next generation into the sport.
Ohanian wrote, “Just had a call with @PaigeSpiranac— she’s the real deal. Every brand trying to understand how to tell a story to the *next* generation of golf fans should be paying attention.” Subsequently, it won’t be wrong to say that Serena Williams’ husband might be a new fan of the 30-year-old tennis player’s promotional tricks, which she used for golf.
Nevertheless, what are your thoughts on Alexis Ohanian’s admiration for golf? Do let us know now in the comments section below.
