Novak Djokovic last played at the ATP 1000 event in 2019. He stayed away from his “favorite masters” due to COVID-19 travel restrictions and his anti-vaccination stance. Nevertheless, as the 36-year-old will be finally returning to the tournament, Djokovic said he is eager to be back.
It has been five years, way too long to not be part of the Tennis Paradise tournament, one of the best tournaments in the world without a doubt. It's probably the favorite Masters tournament of so many players including myself. I can't wait to come and perform once again in front of some of the best tennis fans that we have on the tour.Novak Djokovic said. (Via India Today)
Notably, not only Novak Djokovic but Rafael Nadal will be also returning at 2024 Indian Wells. The two legends will be playing at the same tournament after a long time. Tennis fans will be expecting to see their rivalry come alive again.
