Novak Djokovic, is one of the few athletes in the world who refused to get vaccinated, even at the cost of disqualification from major tournaments. During this phase, many tennis insiders and former players were against the 36-year-old for his ‘selfish’ decision. However, the same people jumped sides, when Djokovic was back on the top, surpassing multiple records in the world.
The true fans of Djokovic, never forget and forgive, as they call out Andy Roddick and Jon Wertheim for their unnecessary criticism of the Serb over the years. The American had openly criticized the Serbian over his vaccination issues, and now is clearly on the right terms with him, triggering a plethora of reactions from ‘Nole fans.’
The Djokovic fan base wasn’t silent on this matter, as they fired shots at the former tennis player. Now that it looks like Roddick has had a slight change of mind, the fans of the Serb weren’t happy. A fan wrote on X.
Similarly, the fans called out the American for not showing sympathy towards Djokovic. Along with Roddick, the fans also called out sports writer Jon Wertheim.
