Released off of his 2022 album Sleep is Exhausting, the lyrics to ”Dose” tell the story of a tumultuous romance.

“When it was first written, I knew immediately it was one of those songs that will never leave your head. There’s nothing in the world like quality songwriting where less is more,” Swims told Broadway World of the track.
