Sanders also gave speeches to two other notable figures in sports

DEION Sanders had some words of wisdom for Jason Kelce to follow as he enters retirement.

Sanders wants Kelce to be “controversial” on his New Heights podcast with his brother Travis now that he is away from the game of football.

The Colorado head coach made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new book Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field.

During his appearance, Fallon spoke to Sanders about his motivational speeches he gives before big games and said he should give speeches to some of the biggest names in the sports world.

Fallon then pulled out a cardboard cutout of Kelce for Sanders to give a speech to.

‘”ason, you’ve come to the end of the road baby,” Sanders said.

“But guess what? You don’t have to train no more. You don’t have to eat right any more.”

“You can just let all that go,” Sanders said while pointing at Kelce’s belly.

“And I want you to be as controversial as you ever wanted to be on your podcast. I love you, I appreciate you. But baby, it’s time to really be you.”

Sanders also gave speeches to women’s college basketball star Caitlin Clark and WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

His speech to Clark was very similar to the Kelce speech, but gave an emphasis on her finishing her college career on a high note before turning her attention to the WNBA.

The speech for The Rock didn’t have anything to do with the WWE, rather it was Sanders’ desire for the superstar to run for president.

“It’s time for you to step up to the plate and take it to the next level,” Sanders said.

“I need you to run for office. I need you to be the President of the United States of America.”

Sanders is going into his second year as head coach of the Colorado Buffalos after his team went 4-8 in 2023.

Colorado is moving back to the Big 12 in 2024 and will look to improve yet again under the leadership of Sanders and his star quarterback son Shedeur.
