Eminem blanked on an iconic collaboration with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, even though fans have never forgotten it.
Eminem‘s standing as one of the greatest rap artists ever is beyond dispute. The “rap god” is a best-selling artist and has even received an Academy Award. However, his life circumstances made Eminem skip accepting the Oscar, which he regretted after the fact.
It appears, however, that his hectic work and addiction issues did not only make him regret some of his decisions. He also seems to have forgotten some key moments about his past collaborations and work with other artists.
Although many of Eminem’s songs routinely make the list of most listened-to songs on Spotify, not remembering key details about them can be daunting for the artist.
Eminem Forgot All About Dr. Dre’s Video With Snoop Dogg
Eminem must have shot hundreds of videos during his career. Because of his many collaborations, it’s not unlikely that he could have forgotten about some of them.\However, it appears Eminem forgot about a major video he shot with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
“Have you all shot a video together before?” Snoop and Eminem were asked.
Eminem quickly answered “Nope.”
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg seemed to be thinking about the answer.
“We was in a movie together… and the video of… what was it?” he said, trying to remember.
“The Dre video,” he said.
At this point, Eminem was completely confused and clearly had no memory of the video.
“Weren’t you on the beach, running, in that video?” Snoop asked him.
Clearly not remembering, Eminem point blank asked, “Was I in that video?”
“Yeah, you was running on the beach,” Snoop answered. “That was like your debut album.”
Eminem’s mind was blown as to why he couldn’t remember anything about this video. “You were running on the beach with d*** near no clothes on,” Snoop insisted.
“What the f***? You gotta show me. Show me that sh**,” Eminem finally said, clearly not remembering anything about the video.
Finally, it looked like the segment of Dr. Dre’s video was shown, and Eminem saw himself in it. He was relieved that he could now remember the whole story about it, which amused Snoop a great deal.
At the time the video was shot, Eminem was working crazy hours and was also hooked on various drugs. It is no wonder that his short appearance in the video was something that slipped his mind.
Eminem Has History With A Lot Of Rap Greats
via: ACE/INFphoto.com/Instar ImagesThroughout his career, Eminem has worked with a lot of the best rap artists. He has also feuded with quite a few, especially at the beginning of his career.
However, one relationship has stood the test of time. Eminem’s career benefited immensely from his close friendship with Dr. Dre. Dre basically kick-started Eminem’s career as Slim Shady and has been a central part of his life for decades.
As such, the two men have often collaborated and even appeared in each other videos. Although Snoop Dogg and Eminem have had their share of feuding, they decided to bury the ax of war and headline the 2022 Super Bowl with Dr. Dre.
Fans were overwhelmed with excitement thinking about the legendary trio, Snoop Dogg, Dre, and Eminem, appearing on stage for a half-time show.
Dr. Dre is not the only rap great Eminem has been close to for years.
50 Cent, whose career also started because of help from Dre and Eminem, has been a friend of Eminem’s for a long time. In fact, 50 Cent has said that his friendship with Eminem was “never gonna change.”
“He’s a guy that’s one of my best friends because I can trust that he’s gonna be honest in his constructive criticism,” he said about Eminem.
Luckily, Eminem Didn’t Forget All His Collaborations
Via YouTubeAlthough Eminem has openly admitted his struggle with addiction, especially during his early life, he hasn’t often talked about how it impacted his work and collaborations. He seemingly doesn’t remember some key moments from his past, but there are other collaborations that he is certain to take credit for.
He has always caused a stir and many celebrities have (good and bad) things to say about Eminem.
He has also been a great influence on many aspiring artists who either used him as a role model or modeled themselves on him to make it to fame. Although he may not remember it, Eminem played a major role in shaping David Kushner’s career, and David had great things to say about him.
“When I was in school I loved Eminem. I loved a lot of hip-hop, but I memorized the whole of The Eminem Show. I tried to write lyrics of things that my parents were going through; they were going through a really bad time,” David said.
Likewise, it’s unlikely that Eminem will forget the collaborations he did with Ed Sheeran or his feud with Machine Gun Kelly. In fact, his feud with Machine Gun Kelly made Eminem a lot of money, so that’s not something he can easily forget.
Now that Eminem’s finally put his wild years firmly behind him, fans can look forward to fewer awkward moments like the one he shared with Snoop Dogg.
