The Bills steamrolled the Cowboys 31-10 in Gameweek 15.
Amidst the criticism of the Dallas Cowboys not being a strong team, Jerry Jones isn’t ready to admit his Super Bowl-contending team has anything to be blamed for the humiliating loss against the Buffalo Bills, except the weather. The Cowboys have dropped to a 10-4 standing, behind Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. Their quarterback Dak Prescott‘s MVP odds have been highly affected, all because of this loss in week 15.
But for the Cowboys’ owner Jones, it’s all because of the poor weather, which was anticipated to be a contributing factor to the results, as said before. He also slammed the Bills’ victory due to home-field stadium advantage.
On his recent appearance on the 1053thefan radio, Jones was asked the difference between Dallas playing at home versus on the road. He replied saying:
I would say the other night (there was) weather… We have perfect conditions to play at home.

After the Sunday Night Football Game, the Cowboys were largely criticized specifically for not defeating any teams with a winning record, except the Eagles in week 14. As previously, the team faced a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers and this time against the Josh Allen-led Bills.
Despite the Cowboys’ alarming rushing yards totals and the sheer differential of home games at +171 and -4 on the road, owner Jones put the blame on an external factor for Dallas’ loss on Sunday.
Dak Prescott’s MVP odds dropped
Until the Sunday game against the Bills, the Cowboys star quarterback Prescott was the frontrunner in the NFL MVP race with +160 odds. However after the bizarre outing on Sunday, not only did he lose fans but also dropped his MVP ranking to the third.

On Sunday, Prescott finished the game by completing 21 out of his 34 passes for 134 yards with one interception and zero touchdown. He was sacked three times in the game, resulting in just an 18.2% chance of winning the MVP award.
Currently, Prescott has +700 MVP odds according to Fox Sports. The favorite is the 49ers’ Brock Purdy and the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson in second. Prescott would get a chance to increase his odds with a strong performance against the Jackson-led Ravens on Christmas Eve.
