The pair – who both appeared opposite each other in Oscar-winning film A Star Is Born – put on a steamy performance at the Academy Awards last weekend.

While Bradley, 44, has a one-year-old daughter with girlfriend Irina Shayk, 33, and Lady Gaga, 32, has denied suggestions she and the actor are in love, it hasn’t stopped their fans insisting they’re in love.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “If Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper’s performance at #TheOscars wasn’t proof enough that they’re in love IRL I don’t know what is #LadyGagaOscar #Oscars19 #AcademyAwards #Oscars #AStarIsBorn”

Another commented: “I don’t care what lady gaga says, bradley cooper is undeniably in love with her and it makes me extremely uncomfortable.”

The mystery ‘red lipstick’ on Bradley’s mouth

In a picture taken on the press tour for their movie in September, Bradley was spotted with what appears to be red lipstick marks on his mouth and chin.

The snap – which sees him standing beside his red-lipped co-star – has resurfaced via a fan account on Instagram, which captioned it, “Oops”.

The singer revealed last month, days before the Academy Awards, that she and fiancé Christian Carino, 49, had called off their engagement after two years of dating.

“It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end,” a source told PEOPLE.

They added that the pair split “a bit ago” and that “there’s no long dramatic story”.

However, it didn’t stop fans pointing out the timing – right before their cosy rendition of song Shallow at the Oscars – was interesting.

One wrote on Twitter: “Lady Gaga and her fiancé broke up if this isn’t the proof we need to realize she’s for real in love with Bradley Cooper idk what is!!!!!!!!”

Evening dinner dates before film was a thing

Back in April 2016, before her casting in his directorial debut was announced, Bradley and Lady Gaga were seen heading – both matching in leather – for an evening dinner date.

The actor drove on his motorbike – with the singer clutching his back – to Giorgio Baldi, an Italian restaurant in Santa Monica.

They had met a few weeks before at a Sean Parker charity dinner where Lady Gaga sang La Vie En Rose.

At the time, she had been engaged to actor Taylor Kinney for 14 months while he had been dating Victoria’s Secret favourite Irina for a year.

Cosy grocery shopping trips

Bradley and Lady Gaga were seen looking close as they did a spot of grocery shopping in Malibu in September 2016.

By this point they were doing rehearsals for A Star Is Born, and the pop star – wearing a tiny vest and denim hot pants – had ended her five-year romance with Taylor.

Film reviews praised the undeniable chemistry between the pair, with The Sun‘s film critics calling it an “emotional powerhouse”.

And their on-screen relationship certainly felt realistic.

Photographers caught the pair filming an intimate kiss scene at a petrol station in California – shortly after Bradley welcomed his daughter with Irina.

Both stars had revealed their “love” for the other, and certainly appeared close on the red carpet.

In January, at the Critics’ Choice Awards – where she took the Best Actress award home – Lady Gaga said: “Bradley you are the love of my life.”

She had also previously been teased for using the exact same affectionate phrase about the actor eleven times during their promotional tour for the film.

On multiple occasions, she told various audiences: “There can be 100 people in the room and 99 don’t believe in you…

“And you just need one to believe in you – and that was him.”

Bradley himself told Entertainment Weekly: “She knows everything about me — everything. I love her so deeply. It’s because we were at our most vulnerable together.”

During the song, Bradley came and snuggled up to Lady Gaga as she sung and played on the piano.

After the last note, they turned and stared directly into one another’s eyes.

Off-stage they hugged and shared several emotional moments.

While some suggested they were simply “too good at their craft” by making viewers believe they were about to “almost kiss”, others weren’t convinced and took to Twitter to reveal how sure they were of a brewing romance.
