Brad Pitt’s ex-bodyguard Kris Herzog claims the star’s marriages to Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were wildly different

Since splitting from their respective spouses, exes Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have been enjoying something of a friendship renaissance.

The pair were expected to be reunited at Monday’s Golden Globe Awards, with their seats virtually backing onto each other.

What’s more, according to the Daily Mail reps for both were aware of the seating plan but put up no objections.

And their growing friendship is a world away from their acrimonious 2005 split which saw Brad move on with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.

But Brad Pitt’s ex-bodyguard has claimed the actor was “one hundred percent happy” while married to Jennifer, and that his subsequent romance with Angelina Jolie was wildly different.

Kris Herzog, who joined Brad’s team following his divorce, reckons Brad and Jen were living a life of happily wedded bliss before he met Angelina in 2004.

“I never heard of them fighting. I never heard rumours of cheating. I never heard anything bad between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt before he met Angelina Jolie,” he told Australia’s Yahoo! Lifestyle in 2016.

“She really loved him with all her heart. I don’t believe Jennifer even looked at other guys when she was with Brad. She would have dedicated her life to him.”

However, he claims the dynamic between Brad and Angelina was at the other end of the spectrum.

“With Angelina it was a different type of relationship. It was ‘we are the most powerful celebrity couple in the world’ and that was primarily Angelina pushing he public image,” he said.

Brad and Angelina went on to have six children together before splitting in 2016 amid reports of an explosive mid-flight row between Brad and their eldest son Maddox, 17.

He was subsequently cleared by the FBI over child abuse allegations, and fought a lengthy custody battle with Angelina before their divorce was finally signed off last April.

Meanwhile, Jen tied the knot with actor Justin Theroux in August 2015 before splitting amicably in 2017 amid reported differences about whether to live in New York or Los Angeles.
