Football players may become team-mates, but that doesn’t automatically make them friends as the feud between Antonio Brown and Tom Brady shows. During their time together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the quarterback was left unimpressed with Brown‘s behavior after he controversially goaded him over a viral picture of him hugging Brady‘s ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.

Brown, who is now 35, hung up his cleats in 2021. While his tenure in the NFL saw him reach the heights with one Super Bowl ring in 2020, his antics away from the field often undermined his achievements on it.

The pair played together in the first season of Brady‘s short spell with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2021, and things were not always friendly between the two team-mates.

The former wide receiver detailed how he resorted to taunt Brady by using a book titled ‘Daddy Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’. It clearly had the desired effect, as he shared private text messages where Brady labeled him ‘selfish’ and ‘immature’.

Brown responded to questions regarding his strange behavior and addressed the situation regarding the picture of Bundchen, the Brazilian model who divorced Brady in 2022, and conceded he acted inappropriately.

“Yeah, I was a little troll, I think. I turned into a troll, I think,” he told VLADTV. “We used to talk to a mutual friend, Jeff Sofra. We haven’t talked in a while, I’m sure he was a little upset.

“I used his [Brady‘s] wife’s picture for some entertainment and some, like you said, I didn’t always do the right thing as a man when I felt emotional, especially the way they left me.

“I did a little bit of immaturity with it, getting back in regards to trying to make him feel how I felt. You know what I mean? But I’m a man. I admit it.”

Asked if he offered an olive branch to Brady by apologizing over the incident, Brown said he had never attempted to make amends: “Not really. I did it, so it’s hard to do something and say you apologize. It’s hard to apologize. But I just feel like it was immature because it was a human, immature thing. I felt they jacked my back.

“It’s hard to apologize. But I just feel like it was immature because it was a human, immature thing. They jacked my baby mama every time, so it is what it is. It was entertainment.”
