While his brother Travis Kelce basks in the limelight with his popstar girlfriend Taylor SwiftJason Kelce is becoming even more likeable. It’s a shame then that the Philadelphia Eagles star has decided to retire from the NFL after confirming his fate on Monday, but not without dropping some easter eggs for ‘Swifties’ to enjoy.

After spending 13 seasons with the Eagles since joining them following his sixth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the 36-year-old has opted to hang up his cleats as he prepares to enter the franchise’s Hall of Fame.

Jason Kelce touching moment with wife Kylie in retirement press conference
An emotional Jason Kelce addressed the media with a press conference in which he broke down in tears on several occasions, paying tribute to his team-mates and wife Kylie.

But one of the most notable inclusions were coincidental references to some of Swift’s hit songs, with fans taking this as a potential hint that Jason had purposefully dropped her song names in the speech.
Jason Kelce, the not-so-secret Swiftie?

“I found my career being fulfilled in the City of Brotherly Love, I knew that relationship all too well,” Kelce said during his speech.

Swifties then took to social media to point out the apparent reference to Swift‘s 2012 song ‘All Too Well’.

It wasn’t the only possible reason, with Kelce stating: “If you go above and beyond for this city, you will be rewarded above your wildest dreams.”

Swift has a song on her 2014 album ‘1989’, which was re-released in October as ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’, which is called ‘Wildest Dreams’. One mention might be a coincidence, but two? It’s fair to say Jason is up to some mischief.

One X user wrote: “Not Jason Kelce adding ‘all too well’ and ‘wildest dreams’ to his retirement speech he loves us”, with another writing: “Jason Kelce has quoted Taylor lyrics like 13 times already in his retirement speech.”

There is no decision on what Kelce will be doing to enjoy his retirement, but a visit with Travis to one of Swift’s Eras Tour dates would surely be on the cards after his speech.
