Buffalo Bills quarterback provides amusing defense of his ‘unchivalrous’ actions

NFL star Josh Allen has hit back at critics who claim he ‘snubbed’ girlfriend Heilee Steinfeld on a night out in Paris.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback was spotted rushing out of a car in the French capital and going into a nearby building, leaving Steinfeld behind.

Many NFL fans have accused Allen for being unchivalrous for not waiting for her as she left the car.

But Allen says he has a good reason for quickly going inside – his pants split.

“My pants ripped at dinner…” Allen tweeted.

“Didn’t want cheeks out… I love Paris.”

In the now viral video of the pair, Allen is spotted with a sweater wrapped around his waist, which indicates he had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Many NFL fans were amused by the incident.

“Pics or it didn’t happen,” one fan said.

“That must have been awkward! Hopefully you found a replacement pair,” another said.

“What did you eat ?” a third fan added.

Allen and Steinfeld have mostly kept a low profile since they started dating last year.

They made their first public outing in May after the NFL star split from his longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams.

They went on a double date with friends at a sushi restaurant in New York City, just days after grabbing dinner at a Manhattan restaurant.

In June, a source close to Steinfeld told People that the two were getting to know each other.
“He’s going to be very busy with training camp, though, so they’re not putting too much pressure on things and will see where it goes,” the source added.

Allen addressed the attention around his relationship during an August appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.

When asked if he had seen headlines about him “making out with his girlfriend,” Allen responded: “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind.”

Allen added that photographers have gone to extreme lengths to take pictures of the couple.

“They were on a boat. I saw it and I just felt this gross feeling,” he said.

“The insecurity, no privacy. I was like, ‘What’s wrong with you?'”

Williams recently opened up about what life is like following her break up with Allen.

The 27-year-old influencer stopped by the latest episode of the podcast ‘Martinis and Bikinis’ hosted by Veronica Droulia to reveal how she handled transitioning back into the dating world.

She recently moved to New York from the split, and Droulia asked her, “How do you feel transitioning from that into dating now?”

Williams quickly fired back that was the “question of the century.”

Williams explained that she and Allen were together “for a really long time,” and it was “difficult” when it ended.

“I was with my ex-boyfriend for 10 years. I would say that coming into the dating world was very, very, very difficult for me at first.

“Because I’m just like, I never thought I would be here again. But here I am, I am very happy now.

“The dating life in New York is absolutely crazy but it’s so much fun. It was so entertaining.

“I’m giddy right now just talking about it because it’s so much fun. I’m having the ‘Sex and the City’ moment…

“It is crazy out here on these streets, I’ll just say that.”
