Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones took to X (Twitter) on Saturday to confirm the $95 million extension that will keep him with the reigning, back-to-back Super Bowl champions for at least five more years.

Jones, 29, was set to hit the free-agent market, but Kansas City jumped the gun and gave him $95 million guaranteed over the first three years of his extension.

He is now one of the highest-paid defensive players in NFL history, and deservingly so, as Jones is one of the few key Kansas City stars who have been in the squad to win their last three championships.

“KC….5 more years of greatness! 3x,” Jones tweeted.

Kansas City franchise tagged Jones last season after he skipped the entire offseason program and Week 1 of the regular season due to the contract dispute.

Jones responded by starting every game the rest of the year and managed to trigger a $1.25 million bonus in his contract with an epic sack in the season finale.
