Russell Wilson joining the Pittsburgh Steelers this past week sent shockwaves throughout the NFL.
While the former Super Bowl champion is obviously no longer the player he was in his heyday, he is still a huge upgrade over what Pittsburgh presently has going on at quarterback.
Last year, Wilson threw for 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Pittsburgh hasn’t had a single quarterback throw that many touchdowns since 2020.
With the Oscars taking place this week, Wilson and his wife Ciara decided to hit the town. The pair obviously lands in the news cycle quite a bit, as evidenced by their intimate photos together and their provocative date night videos.
And this week was no exception.
Ciara’s see-through dress proved to be a huge hit:
“Looooove that you are embracing your real, just-had-a-baby, body!!! So beautiful,” another fan chimed in.
“Beautiful,” a third fan agreed.
Big picture, it will be interesting to see how Wilson performs with the Steelers. He was actually a far better player last year than he got credit for. The question is just whether that was Sean Payton’s offensive voodoo at work or whether Wilson legitimately still has something left in the tank.
Pittsburgh got Wilson on very friendly deal. A $1.2 million veteran minimum tag in this particular situation is a bet worth taking.
But whether or not it will pay off is a different story.
The Steelers, on paper, look like a playoff team right now. In order for it to actually happen, though – Wilson will need to execute.
Will Wilson be able to get his career back on track with the Steelers in 2024? Time will tell, but either way, Ciara will be there cheering him on every step of the way.
