Travis Kelce has been turning into a jack of all trades. He has had a successful career playing football; he is just coming off his third Super Bowl win with the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the off-season, he has been enjoying himself, traveling the world to see his girlfriend Taylor Swift, and venturing into new business avenues. He recently agreed to sign on to become part of the producing cast of an upcoming movie.

In light of this, another fellow athlete had a few words of advice for Kelce. John Cena, the prominent wrestler and entertainer, is one of the few athletes who have achieved success in their respective sports and Hollywood.

Cena had a few tips to offer Kelce if the tight end were to decide he wanted to go down the same trajectory as him.

I would inspire him to reflect on his journey. He didn't become a Super Bowl champion in a year. I bet he started playing football at a very young age. This is one misconception that a lot of people have...'You were born for this.' I was not. I worked very hard and suffered a lot of setbacks and looked ridiculous and had a lot of failures.

Cena stated via ET Online

John Cena’s advice stems from his personal experience. He is advising Travis Kelce to think wisely before taking a call on venturing into Hollywood as an actor.

The reason is that he is not used to acting; he has not been doing it for long, and despite the success he has achieved in the NFL, there is no guarantee that he will succeed as an actor in Hollywood.

John Cena urges Travis Kelce to choose his next career wisely

Kelce is embarking into Hollywood by stepping into the shoes of an executive producer on My Dead Friend Zoe, a dark comedy movie featuring Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Ed Harris, and Morgan Freeman.

My advice to Travis is, should he choose another skill, look at how (long) it took to be fluent in football. It's gonna take that long to be fluent in another skill. Just surround yourself with great teammates and good things will come from it.

Continuing further, he added

The movie will make full use of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act to finance it. In addition to this, Travis Kelce is financing a documentary on Jean-Michel Basquiat with his partners, Mike Field and Ray Maiello.

Kelce will need to take baby steps into Hollywood, be it in the role of an actor or a producer. As John Cena said, he needs to surround himself with experienced people to learn the tricks of the trade.

It is going to be equivalent to learning an entirely new craft from scratch, and the tight end should think it through before making any major moves in a short span.

John Cena is currently busy promoting his movie Ricky Stanicky, featuring Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, and Andrew Santino. The movie is set to be released on Prime Video on March 7.
