If anyone is not scared of Patrick Mahomes and his legacy in the league then it has to be Maxx Crosby. Despite Mahomes winning two consecutive Super Bowls, the DE is not afraid of him. Instead, he has welcomed Mahomes for a new challenge, sharing a strong message for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

In a recent interaction with reporters, the DE said that he is ready to do everything to stop Mahomes, even if it costs him to play rough against the quarterback. The DE propagated the Raiders’ way of playing once again.

The DE said:

At the end of the day, if we want to win, we got to take him down. So we're not shy about that. He knows every time I play him, and every time I see him, I'm trying to ruin his day. So that goes for everybody. So yeah, you know, people can take that whatever they want, whatever, but he knows I'm coming for him.

Advocating their rough football further, the DE said that was not intended to be malicious or harmful towards Mahomes. It was just a desperate attempt to win against the quarterback. Claiming that Mahomes is an MVP winner multiple times and has also won the Super Bowl, he said that the team has to go to desperate levels to make things happen.

Crosby went on to add:

It's the same. I'm on that energy every time and I know my teammates are as well. It's not malicious or whatever... But we play with ill intent sign and we play violent and fast and we plan on doing that for the years to come.

Maxx Crosby is a loyal disciple of Antonio Pierce

A few days back, Antonio Pierce, the newly appointed head coach of the Raiders talked about ‘the Jordan way’ to stop Mahomes. To keep the greatest NBA player away from success, the Detroit Pistons continuously used to slammer Michael Jordan. Now, Antonio Pierce, a few months back advocated the same on Maxx Crosby’s podcast The Rush:

We’ve got the Jordan Rules and we’ve got what I’m calling now, from now on as long as I’m here, the Patrick Mahomes Rules. You remember when Jordan was going through it with the Pistons, the Pistons used to whip his a**. Any time he came to the hole, elbows, feeling him, love taps.

Since taking charge, Pierce has done a lot for the team. He has changed the team’s mentality. Though the Raiders failed to make it to the playoffs, it did see some positive changes in the squad after the inclusion of Pierce. Hence, the Raiders will be hoping for something better in the coming season.
