Travis Kelce is on cloud nine with his relationship with Taylor Swift, but he may need to get a better handle on his expenses before things get too way out of hand.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly owes more than $100,000 in back taxes in his home state of Ohio.

Over the past seven years, he has amassed more than $200,000 in back taxes stemming from 2016, 2017, and 2018 liens, as reported by Katherine Schaffstall of In Touch. He has a state tax lien from Ohio for $64,198 from 2018, $46,579 from 2017, and another from 2018 for $909.

Aside from his money issues, Kelce has committed six vehicle-related criminal offenses since 2011, which are all in Ohio. Each offense was the result of speeding or seat belt-related issues. He has pleaded guilty to all of his vehicle-related offenses.

He is currently signed with Kansas City through the 2025 campaign and is set to make $11.3 million in base salary in 2023. The 11-year NFL veteran has made more than $77 million during his career.


The University of Cincinnati product is one of the best tight ends in NFL history.

Kelce missed the Chiefs’ season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions because of a hyperextended knee but has played in the two games since that have resulted in wins.

Kelce has been on the Chiefs since they selected him with a third-round draft pick in 2013. The 33-year-old is a two-time Super Bowl champion, among the best players in the NFL, and rumored to be dating pop music megastar Taylor Swift.
