The film featured a number of explicit scenes, where Gordon-Levitt’s character Don Jon was seen m**turbating in front of a computer, or narrating about m**turbating in front of a computer. To help with the m**turbating scenes, P**nhub came forward to help the film as the logo of the website was visible in almost every scene where Don Jon touched himself. Corey Price, the Vice President of the adult website offered a statement via Mother Jones stating,

“A producer approached us in March 2012 seeking permission to use our brand in a movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson. The script had already been written and they were in pre-production at the time. After we reviewed the script and discussed the opportunity with the producers we agreed to take part in the movie. We also agreed to help them find adult clips to use in the movie from our content partners like Br***ers, M***s, Di**tal Pla**round and Tw**tys.”

Scarlett Johansson Was Moved To Tears During The Screening of Under the Skin

Jonathan Glazer’s 2013 film Under the Skin featuring Scarlett Johansson was a sci-fi film that had set high expectations among the fans, but it failed to meet those expectations as it grossed only $7.2 million at the worldwide box office. At that time the film was meant to be screened at the Venice Film Festival, and the actress moved to tears, as the audience was booing her because it failed to resonate with them.

During an interview with The Guardian, Scarlett Johansson shared her thoughts and emotions during the film festival, stating that she felt “strange” and “super-exposed.”

“It was the first time I had seen the film with an audience and the first time I saw the film finished. And I was on this huge mezzanine, so I felt super-exposed. Then, at the end, when the lights came up … there was this sound of people cheering and booing at the same time, but with equal gusto. I didn’t know how to react to it. I think I was just… I wouldn’t say disturbed, but I was … shocked.”

While Johansson was blue-eyed, she noticed that Jonathan Glazer, the director of the film showcased an opposite reaction towards the booing of the viewers.

“I looked over at Jonathan, and he was filled with glee. Absolutely thrilled. We left the theatre, and I was like, ‘That was so strange,’ And Jonathan was like, ‘That was the best reaction! That was the most amazing sound I’ve ever heard in my life.’”

Concluding her statement, the Lucy actress stated that she would prefer receiving a visceral review for her projects, rather than a lukewarm, opinionated response from people.
