WHETHER you’re a child star or a nepo baby, growing up in the spotlight isn’t always easy.

A parenting expert warned Kim Kardashian and Kanye West of the two major risks facing their daughter North.

Kirsty Ketley spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the famous 10-year-old and what the future may hold for her.

“North West is no stranger to being in the spotlight but at just 10 years old, it appears she is being molded to follow in the footsteps of her [family] and spend her life firmly in the spotlight,” Ketley said.

While there is no way to know how pushy Kim and Kanye are as parents, she explained that their behavior can be interpreted that way.

North has appeared on The Kardashians as well as sharing a TikTok account with Kim.

However, it’s her public appearances that have garnered her lots of attention in the media.

“She has strategically posed in outfits that are sure to gain her attention.

“Hello, dressing in her dad’s 2004 Polo shirt and iconic Pastelle varsity jacket,” Ketley explained.

She added that North is at an age where she is figuring out what her style is and it is “likely [she] will have wanted to throw some support her dad’s way” through her fashion choices.

Ketley called the Kardashian family an example of “how to be the crème del a crème of influencers.”

She explained that it is likely that Kim and Kanye have discussed how North’s look would be perceived.

North mostly recently appeared in Kanye’s music video for Talking/ Once Again and even received a feature credit for her rap verse.

“It’s your bestie. Miss, Miss Westie. Don’t try to test me. It’s gonna get messy. It’s gonna get messy. Just just bless me. Bless me,” she rapped as she got her hair done in the clip.

Ketley shared her surprise at the appearance given Kim and Kanye’s disagreements in the past over North’s exposure to the spotlight.

“Perhaps [it’s] a sign that he and Kim are getting on the same page when it comes to the kids [or] perhaps it’s a sign that North is the driving force behind it all,” she said.

Ketley went on to say that North’s appearance alongside her dad and the shared TikTok account with her mom may be “a way for Kim and Kanye to keep an eye on North.”

While she described having control over how their child puts herself out there as “a wise move” she questioned if North is still “too young for it all.”

“Child stars notoriously end up needing rehab and falling out with their parents, so Kim and Kayne need to be mindful that North isn’t going to be getting too much limelight, too young,” she said.

“Her developing brain isn’t ready to take on all that it means to be a ‘star.'”

She explained that at 10 years old, North does not have the maturity needed to handle fame.

“She has repeatedly been seen requesting that her photo is not taken by paparazzi, and who can forget the photo of her standing alone, looking terrified outside the Met Gala?” Ketley said.

“She needs protection for as long as possible, to be allowed to enjoy a more normal childhood and to mature enough to fully understand what life in the spotlight is really like.”

Ketley explained that by pushing North to “pursue a life in the celeb lane,” her parents are taking away her opportunity to choose her own path.

“These days being a nepo baby isn’t cool, so North needs to be given space and time to grow and make her way in the world,” she explained.

“If at any point she wants to go in a different direction than that which her parents are currently looking in, she should be allowed and supported in making that choice.”
