Kim Kardashian is continuing her burgeoning acting and producing career, landing a new project that ended up at MGM after a heated bidding war.

The 43-year-old reality star – who has ‘no marriage plans’ amid her new romance with Odell Beckham Jr. – will star in and produce a new untitled thriller.

The project was written by Natalie Krinsky (The Broken Hearts Gallery) and will be produced by Bruna Papandrea through her Made Up Stories company.

The film sparked an intense bidding war that Amazon’s MGM Studios ultimately prevailed, with four other studios in the mix too, via Deadline.

Sources claim that it’s still possible the film could get a theatrical release through MGM, or a streaming-only release through Amazon’s Prime Video.

However, no release plans have been confirmed at this time, and it remains unclear when production may get under way.

No story details have been released, though it was noted that writer Krinsky did specifically write this thriller with Kardashian in mind to star.

This is the second film package that Kardashian has secured since the SAG-AFTRA strike ended in mid-November.

Her romantic comedy The Fifth Wheel landed at Netflix in late November after another five-studio bidding war ensued.

Insiders claim the deal for this new project is even more lucratice than The Fifth Wheel Netflix deal.

The reality star was also said to be very ‘hands-on’ in the pitching process, attending every pitch meeting personally with writer Krinsky.

She’s expected to play a large part in the marketing of the film, like she’s expected to be also with The Fifth Wheel.

Kardashian has said to be taking a rather proactive approach in ramping up her acting career, taking general meetings with various writers and producers.

Krinsky – who has also written for Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, Gossip Girl and Red Band Society – was said to be one of Kardashian’s first general meetings.

The original idea for this project was hatched during that meeting, with Krinsky putting together a presentation that has impressed buyers at each meeting.

Krinsky also made her directing debut with 2020’s The Broken Hearts Gallery, starring Geraldine Viswanathan, Dacre Montgomery, Utkarsh Amudkar and Molly Gordon.
