TAYLOR Swift apparently started attending Kansas City Chiefs games even before her romance with Travis Kelce became one of the storylines of the 2023 NFL season.

Fans first noticed the 14-time Grammy winner in the stands during Kansas City’s 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 3.

But in an appearance on The Sports Shop with Reese and K-Mac, Chiefs defensive backs coach Dave Merritt revealed Swift, 34, had cheered on Kelce in person before that.

“When she started to come around, it was privately,” he said.

“She was coming into the stadiums without people knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it.”

Merritt also addressed the criticism Swift received because of the attention her presence at NFL stadiums generated.

“Upon meeting her, I felt like she actually added to what it was that we were trying to do,” the Chiefs coach said.

“Because there were so many people that were hating the fact that she was being shown on the TV that, you know what? You’re part of our family because you’re with Travis.

“So, therefore, you’re our little sister… You’re part of our family.”

Merritt claimed Swift impacted the Chiefs in a positive way because “everybody was excited that Travis was happy.”

The Karma singer flew all the way from Japan to be with Kelce, 34, at Allegiant Stadium during Super Bowl LVIII.

She has been credited with helping the big game attract a record-breaking audience of 123 million because she attended it.

Many speculate whether she could headline the Super Bowl Halftime Performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, next year.

The U.S. Sun understands notable NFL figures are desperate to get Swift booked up and have already started trying to make it happen.

And league insiders believe her performance could help generate a $1 billion windfall.

“The ads could reach a cost of $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million, or more,” a source said.

“This year, it has been estimated that her presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between $700-750 million.

“If she is the main artist of next year’s halftime show, it’s expected to generate more than $1.3-1.5 billion.”
