On tonight’s episode Fern Britton was tricked into saving Louis after Big Brother made her believe that she was putting him up for eviction.

This evening the former This Morning host was told by BB to put a snake on a housemate’s bed, thinking it would lead to their eviction.

However, she didn’t know that the chosen housemate would actually receive a golden ticket to the final.

Big Brother told the star: “Fern, as you can see, you’ve just found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, that means you’ve been granted one wish, the biggest wish of all.

“You must choose one housemate to be evicted today, you must secretly place this snake on their pillow.

“Nobody can see you do this.”

The housemates were then told to look for the snake and they found it on Louis’ pillow.

Later he was the first to be called to the diary room to nominate.

However, before he got to do so, he was told by Big Brother that he had been chosen by a fellow housemate to be evicted, which is why a snake was placed on his pillow.

But in a shock twist, the luck of the Irish is found to be on Louis’ side and he was told to look at the hatch in front of him to reveal his fate.

There he found a four leaf clover, which meant he will not be evicted, and instead, in a shock twist, he has won immunity from the next round of nominations.

This also means he is automatically through to Friday’s grand final.

This clip of Louis finding out the news was shown to his fellow housemates in the lounge.

The Irish music mogul then vowed to find out who placed the snake on his pillow, saying: “It’s never the obvious person”
