Celebrity Big Brother’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu discussed the backlash she received when she wore a racy costume during her Dancing On Ice stint.

The former Love Island star, 29, sparked 112 Ofcom complaints for performing a racy routine in a daring sheer outfit on the family friendly series.

After she was criticised for her skimpy ensemble, Ekin-Su covered her modesty and swapped the racy outfits for a nun costume – which she received zero complaints for.

Speaking about the ‘pressures women face’ for having to look a certain way, Ekin-Su recalled the controversial moment during Thursday night’s CBB.

She said: ‘There’s a pressure for women especially. When I did Dancing On Ice, perfect example right, I got criticised for an outfit I was wearing on the first week.

‘Because it looked like it was see-through on some parts, but it was a unitard. So when I dressed as a nun from the Sound Of Music, I got through.

‘And I thought, “okay I get it now”.’

Ekin-Su brought fire to the rink in 2023, stepping out in a nude mesh jumpsuit with a dramatically embellished detail on the ITV skating show.

The ensemble was a recreation of the one Britney Spears wore in her Toxic music video – which the reality star was dancing to.

The actress crawled across the ice during the performance, an ode to the famous Love Island scene in which she crawled around the villa’s terrace to kiss fellow islander Jay Younger behind partner Davide Sanclimenti’s back.

The sultry routine with her professional skater Brendyn Hatfield also saw her lie on her back and be swept up into partner Brendyn’s arms, with a slew of animated facial expressions.

Many viewers also took to social media to brand the routine ‘not appropriate’ for the family show, which airs before the watershed.

Elsewhere in the episode, Ekin-Su found herself at the centre of a rows with her fellow housemate Zeze Mills shortly before they’re sent off to nominate for the first time.

Elsewhere in the episode, Ekin-Su found herself at the centre of a rows with her fellow housemate Zeze Mills (L) shortly before they’re sent off to nominate for the first time

Zeze said: ‘I would never do Love Island, but if you are in a hot country it is kinda like a free holiday, do you know what I mean?’ to which Ekin disagreed: ‘It wasn’t really for me…’

With tension hanging in the air, Zeze probed: ‘Maybe we didn’t get to see that’, to which Ekin snapped back: ‘It’s a reality show filmed 24/7 honey, you only see 40 minutes of it.’

Seemingly confused, Zeze responded: ‘That’s what I just said, that’s why I said we didn’t get to see all of it.’

Yet as  Ekin-Su agreed: ‘Yeah, you didn’t’, Zeze shot back: ‘That’s what I just said!’
