Chris said it had been wonderful seeing the star, who has recently recovered from bowel cancer, ‘discover herself’ over her time on the show.
While Oti said: ‘It has been an honour to see your dream come true and to see you challenge yourself and you’ve turned up with a smile and for that I want to congratulate you.’
But despite the judges singing her praises, several fans spotted several mistakes Adele made during her routine.
Some were quick to point out she didn’t skate on her own and was ‘carried about for most of it’, and many others added she was ‘out of sync’ and seemed she ‘forgot her own routine’.
Viewers of the hit skating show also compared the broadcaster’s routine to other contestants Ryan and Miles – remarking Miles was penalised for stumbling despite pulling an ‘incredible routine’ and skating ‘a lot on his own’.
One said: ‘Adele made several mistakes, I don’t understand why they think they have to give 10’s coz it’s the final. You’re there to judge so do it. #DancingOnIce.’
Another agreed: ‘Adele looked like she forgot her routine at one point, didn’t skate on her own, carried about for most of it and scored a 40. Miles skates on his own, pulls an incredible routine, stumbles and gets 38 #DancingOnIce.’
‘Not a lot of actual skating there Adele. Carried for most of it, lifted for others and held for the rest. Very weak for a final and not worth a 40 #DancingOnIce,’ echoed a third.
Another user poked fun: ‘What hold does Adele have on the judges bcos that was not deserving of 40? Tf #dancingonice.’
