Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire took a dramatic fall during the Dancing On Ice final – before losing the crown to Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas.

Miles, 28, who admitted he’d signed up to the show due to his desire to be seen as ‘more than a Chelsea boy’, finished runner-up with his partner Vanessa Bauer in Sunday’s final.

His romantic skate with partner Vanessa looked set to be the stuff of dreams, but mere seconds into the performance Miles took a tumble.

The reality star, who was favourite to win, slipped and fell on his bottom as he turned a corner, before rolling over and making his way to his feet to carry on skating.

After the routine, he told hosts Holly Willoughby and Steven Mulhern: ‘I feel bad because I let her down. It was a stupid mistake.’

Vanessa replied: ‘No you have been great every week.’

Despite the fall, Miles got back to his feet and finished off the routine and scored an impressive 38 from the judges – who said they were ‘heartbroken’ for him.

However the disappointment on his face was obvious for all to see.

As he apologised profusely to Vanessa, the judges each awarded him 9.5 out of a possible ten.

Oti said: ‘I am so heartbroken but it was so brilliant before the fall. Do not be disheartened by this.’

Ashley added: ‘Miles I am gutted for you. I wanted to give you the 10 you deserve and how far you have come is worth a 10.

‘You have been incredible and that is life so chin up.’

‘You have skated this 50 times and it has never happened,’ said Chris. ‘It’s not how you fall it is how you get up.’

And Jane commiserated: ‘It was a fluke mistake, think about all the difficulty that was in there.’

Actor Ryan was left ‘speechless’ after he was announced as the winner of the 2024 series, beating Miles, and dedicated the trophy to injured Greg who missed out on the final.

He said: ‘I’m speechless, I can’t get over this. Greg if your watching this, this trophy is for you!’

Being a good sport, Miles said to Ryan: ‘Well done you deserve it, well done.’

Earlier in the show, Adele Roberts finished in third place following getting a perfect 40 for her first skate. Ryan and Miles then went on to perform the iconic bolero.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Torvill and Dean’s Bolero, so there was extra pressure on the two remaining finalists.

Miles and Vanessa were up first with the iconic performance, before Jayne described Ryan’s performance as ‘beautiful’ while Chris said he had ‘passion’ and the night belongs to him.

The trio had been due to be joined in the final by former Olympian Greg Rutherford, however he quit hours before Sunday’s show after sustaining an injury.

Greg’s hopes of taking part were shattered after he sustained a ‘significant’ injury on the morning of rehearsals.

He has since reached out to the three remaining finalists in a video shared from his hospital bed, minutes before the show got underway.

Greg Rutherford has spoken for the first time since withdrawing from the Dancing On Ice finale with a last minute injury.
