Louis Walsh has revealed the ‘real reason’ that fellow housemate, Fern Britton, was saved from Tuesday’s brutal double Celebrity Big Brother eviction.

During last night’s episode, Zeze Millz and Marisha Wallace were sadly evicted in a savage double exit after viewers voted to save Fern and Nikita Kuzmin, who were also up for nomination.

Talking on Wednesday’s show, Fern was left stunned over being saved as Louis shared some sweet words. Talking to Fern in the kitchen, Louis said: “Honestly, you’ve been on TV forever… people know your face, they know your voice, they know you…”

To which Fern replied: “Well, there’s a whole lot of people after 15 years!” with Louis adding: “But they know you, they know you!” It comes as Fern shared her shock at being saved on Tuesday night.

On spin-off show, Late and Live, an exclusive first look of Fern aired following Tuesday night’s dramatic episode. Speaking to Big Brother in the Diary Room, a shocked Fern said: “I think I need to process this a bit, hysterical and unbearably smug! The unimaginable has just happened… and, er, to my children I’ll say: ‘Mother won’t be home for another three nights, I’m sorry about that but I do love you!’ Oh my God, I’m the only woman left in the house!”

After Tuesday’s double eviction, the twists were far from over as hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu announced that despite there being six contestants left, only five would be in the final as there would be a shock eviction on Wednesday night.

Viewers were asked to vote for who they wanted to win out of Fern, Nikita, Louis, Colson Smith, David Potts and Bradley Riches. However, viewers tuning in on Wednesday night to see who would be evicted were left disappointed to see no exit aired.

Later, on Celebrity Big Brother spin-off show, Late and Live, host AJ revealed that they would be using the show to speculate on who had gone with the eviction airing on Thursday night, leaving viewers left confused as to why the exit wasn’t shown on screen on Wednesday.

AJ also confirmed that there would be no live feed on Wednesday night, which viewers had been wondering about as it would reveal which star had gone, and instead fans will need to tune in 9pm Thursday night to see the eviction.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “where’s the shock eviction #cbbuk”, a different account put: “thought an eviction was happening tonight? #cbbuk”, another put: “soooo where’s the eviction ????? #CBBUK” while a different account added: “I thought there was an eviction tonight?? #cbbuk.”
