LOVE Island fans had to do a double-take after they spotted a weird detail in the background of Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie’s loved-up video.

The pair, who placed third on the recent All Stars series of the ITV2 show, have loved sharing their relationship online since returning to the UK.

Sophie, 25, recently pranked Josh, 29, in a video which saw her smiling at him until he noticed.

While the two giggled away to each other in the funny clip, fans were distracted by something in the background.

One wrote in the comments section on TikTok: “The girl in the background on the bed on her phone 😭💀.”

Others pointed out that it was in fact Sophie’s best mate and their Love Island All Stars co-star Jess Gale, 24.

Another said: “i didn’t even notice jess at first😭😭.”

A third chimed in: “😂😂😂😂The whole time Jess was there.”

Jess shot to fame on the first series of the winter Love Island in 2020.

She entered on day one and ended up placing fourth alongside Ched Uzor, 27.

This time around she found love with Callum Jones, 27, and they narrowly missed out on first place to his ex Molly Smith, 30, and Tom Clare, 24.

It comes after a new Love Island feud was revealed as Josh was SNUBBED by Sophie’s famous family.

Some have pointed out that she has not followed Josh back on Instagram.

She previously had a lukewarm response to her sister’s fledgling romance during a video call with Sophie in the villa, where she flagged the hunk’s attitude towards Joanna.

This accelerated after the final when Rochelle told ITV viewers how she invited him for a slap-up lunch.

During her chat on This Morning, she said: “I met my sister’s new boyfriend for the first time.

“I was kind of like ‘is it serious? How do these things work?’ I can’t talk to her while she’s in the villa. So I’m like ‘yeah, but do you actually like him?’ Then she said ‘can I bring him over on Sunday?’

“I cooked a roast dinner. He didn’t eat any of it.

“I’m going to try not to take that as an insult.”

Sophie also took part in the winter series of Love Island in 2020.

She was dumped from the villa on day 22 and had a short lived romance with Connor Durman.

Josh shot to fame on the first series of the revived series of the show in 2015.

He placed third in a friendship couple with Lauren Richardson.
