Who is Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus?

Cori Broadus is one of Snoop Dogg’s four children.

She was born on June 22, 1999, in California and is the rapper’s youngest child and only daughter.

Her siblings include older brothers Corde, Cordell, and half-brother Julian.

Like her father, Broadus is also in the music industry. She’s been working on her music career since 2012 when she made her debut on one of her dad’s albums. She’s released music under the names Cori Broadus, Princess Broadus, and CHOC.

Broadus is also the CEO of Choc Factory by CHOC, a beauty, cosmetic, and personal care company.

The brand sells lip gloss, lip balm, and lip liner, along with hand sanitizer, body oil, and loungewear.

According to the Choc Factory’s website, the brand is GMO-free, 100% organic, and uses pure ingredients in its products.

What happened to Cori Broadus?

On Thursday, January 18, 2024, Cori Broadus posted two Instagram Stories, revealing that she had gone through a massive health scare.

In the first story, Broadus told her followers that she had a terrifying morning, during which she suffered a stroke.

“I had a severe stroke this am,” she wrote, alongside two faces holding back tears emojis.

“I started breaking down crying when they told me,” she added.

Her next story showed Broadus wearing a blue face mask and fluffy pink hoodie.

“Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she wrote.

This isn’t Broadus’ first health battle. In September 2023, she opened up about her lifelong battle with Lupus.

Broadus was diagnosed with Lupus when she was just six years old and said the nonstop cycle of medication was making her “go insane,” as reported by People.

“I’ve had medication since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself,” she said.

“I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold turkey.”

“I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago,” Broadus revealed.

“I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas.”

“I started working out, drinking lots of water,” she added. “So now I think my body’s like, okay, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.”

Broadus also opened up about her past struggles with depression and body positivity, revealing that both are a “constant battle” for her.

Broadus previously shared that she had tried to take her own life on May 4, 2021.

Broadus’ father, Snoop Dogg, commented on the social media post, sharing words of wisdom for his youngest child.

“Courage and strength is what u gain as god uses u to c he is happiness love u baby girl u are my inspiration,” he wrote, alongside praying hands, smiling face with hearts, and paw print emojis.

On January 24, 2024, revealed to People that his daughter is “doing a little bit better.”

Who is Cori Broadus’ mother?

Broadus’ mom, Shante Broadus, is Snoop’s high school sweetheart.

Despite their occasionally rocky relationship, the duo have been together for over 25 years.

The two met when they were teens at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. They even attended prom together before graduating in 1989.

Snoop and Shante officially tied the knot on June 14, 1997.

Shante founded Boss Lady Entertainment, a music management company, in 2003.

The company also produces movies and TV shows and runs The Compound, an event space and recording studio used by artists like Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, and Cardi B.

In 2004, the couple briefly split after Snoop filed for divorce.

The two were able to rekindle their relationship, with Snoop explaining that his kids helped motivate him to patch things up with Shante.

In 2008, the duo renewed their vows at singer Charlie Wilson’s ranch.

In 2021, Shante opened up to W Magazine about her history with the beloved rapper, as reported by People.
