STACEY DOOLEY spent months surrounded by sweat-soaked, scantily clad women getting up close and personal with men on her way to winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

But despite that experience, she got more than she bargained for in her new documentary.

For the first episode in series two of UKTV’s Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA, she spends time with sex workers showing their clients a good time at the Mustang Ranch in Nevada — America’s only legal brothel.

Stacey was shocked to discover she would be staying in a room regularly used by one of the ranch’s 28 prostitutes.

She said: “The sole purpose of this room is to service the client. I’ve got girls either side of me, that’s the only thing. I should’ve bought some earplugs.”

After meeting some of the women, including Missy, Scarlett and Asia, Stacey tried to get some kip but soon realised that would be impossible.

In Sunday’s show, on W channel at 9pm, cameras capture the moment she heads into the hall with the sound of sex ringing loudly in her ears.

Stacey says with a laugh: “You could hear everything! Missy was right next door and she was such a sweetheart.

“She had one night where she had one after the other, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, this girl must be absolutely exhausted.”

The ranch, which is run by two former sex workers, aims to give the women a safe place to do business.

Each one of the “courtesans” has her own room and sets the prices.

Meanwhile, a ten-man security team operates around the clock.

Stacey Dooley spends ten days living alongside the nuns of St Hilda’s Priory in Whitby
In one moment of madness, Stacey, whose partner is ex-Strictly dancer Kevin Clifton, jokingly suggests she might “have to dip into my savings” and sample the residents’ skills personally.

I’m sure she’d have learned a few moves they didn’t teach her on Strictly

Jessica hags the limelight

JESSICA HYNES’ show credits range form W1A, Years And Years and Spaced – but she’s never looked like this in any of them.

The actress has been transformed into a terrifying demon witch, known as The Reddlehag, for new Apple TV+ drama The Completely Made-up Adventures Of Dick Turpin.

But a “misadventure” seems a more accurate description for the latest episode, which drops on the streaming service this Friday.

Jessica’s fearsome character ends up tied to the stake alongside Dick, played by Noel Fielding, and Nell, played by Ellie White.

Purists will point out the absence of a sorceress in the original tales of notorious 18th-century highwaymen.

But that only reflects the creativity – or insanity – of the comedy’s creators.

Back with a bang

CORRIE actor Will Mellor will join forces with ex-EastEnder Kara Tointon in a new Channel 5 drama later this year.

Under the working title The Teacher II, it follows on from 2022 four-part series The Teacher, when Sheridan Smith played a teacher accused of having sex with a pupil.

Sheri in princess hoax jab

SHERIDAN Smith has incredible range as an actress – but even she might struggle in the latest role she’s been linked to.

A recurring tweet sees Sheridan “announced” as the lead in a drama based on that day’s trending topic.

Jokers tweeted this week that she would be “playing” The Princess Of Wales in six-part series The Lost Princess, about conspiracy theories surrounding her recent recovery from surgery.

And Gyles Brandreth fell for the hoax!

After he repeated the fake news on ITV’s This Morning, one of the pranksters wrote online: “Please get younger presenters who know how the internet works.”
