Taken is an extremely good film, but along with that popularity come misunderstandings that could not be more harmful.

Many viewers after watching the movie thought that Europe was a place full of kidnapping and human trafficking.

Liam Neeson stars as Bryan Mills in 2009's 'Taken' and its 2012 sequel, 'Taken 2.'
So much so that actor Liam Neeson once received a lot of thanks from American parents.

The reason is because they think he played Taken to warn about the risks when traveling to Europe.

Some people even decided to never take their children to Europe after watching the movie.

And when receiving such thanks, Liam Neeson had to explain that Taken just “overdid” many scenes and that Europe is not at all that scary.

He also encouraged people not to be too worried when going to Europe.
