The American Idol judge Katy Perry joined the show as a guest judge in the 9th season. She became permanent after that. Perry has been criticized for her “rude” behavior against contestants.
Several allegations have been made about how she treats the female contestants and changes if it’s a male contestant.
During a recent episode of American Idol, the Dark Horse singer was booed by a live audience in Hawaii for the negative feedback she gave to contestant Nutsa Buzaladze.

However, Perry justified her feedback with valid reasoning. Despite the negative reaction from the crowd, she explained that she wanted to see a different side of Buzaladze’s artistry.

The recent incident that turned up the heat against Perry was her mom-shaming and insulting 25-year-old contestant Sara Beth Liebe, who ultimately quit The American Idol.
Liebe might have given the Hot N Cold singer a pass, but the fans aren’t going easy on the drama queen. The producers of the show seemingly noted the backlash.
An Insider has revealed, “And producers are so rattled by Katy’s behavior they’re considering replacing her to keep the audience happy.”

Perry’s behavior did not go unnoticed as the fans displayed their outrage on social media platforms. One Critic posted a story that said, “Katy is rude and condescending to contestants unless it’s a male cutie then she acts like a teenage fool. Bye-bye Katy!”.
