Out of the biggest people in Hollywood, three names that stand out are James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone.
All three of them may not have anything in common except for their love for cinema, but Cameron had rather strong opinions about the two.
The director has never been the silent type, to sit and watch as things go by in front of him. He speaks up and is unafraid to share his opinion.

His stance when it comes to women’s rights and feminism has been very strong as well.
As a supporter and a feminist, the director often shows women in a stage of power without forcing any norms onto them.
This was one of the biggest reasons as to why he could not see eye to eye with Schwarzenegger or Stallone.
James Cameron Thought Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone Were The Worst of Hollywood
James Cameron made a statement over three decades ago about how he felt about Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone’s increasing popularity.
The director seemed to be very against it, stating that as a feminist, their rising fame was a major matter of concern.
Sylvester Stallone is an A-list star
“It’s interesting that the two highest-paid stars in the world are these kind of ultra-masculine characters. I guess that’s the thing that translates cross-culturally. Which is depressing, if you analyze it.”
These are two actors who fit into toxic masculine norms. They were shown as a symbol of what masculinity should look like and saw it as a major problem.
Their reputation involved their ‘macho’ behavior and their tendencies to jump from one woman to another, as if they were nothing but means for their satisfaction.
James Cameron Thinks Hollywood Needs More Feminist Artists
James Cameron had more opinions about how Hollywood was going.
Even now women as directors, writers, and actors don’t have as much recognition or fame as compared to their male counterparts.
Even if an actress makes it big in the industry, she would often be reduced to her relationships and all the people she has slept with.
Some of the biggest examples of the same could be Taylor Swift and Angelina Jolie. Cameron voiced his concerns about the same in 1991.

“There aren’t too many male writers and directors who feel comfortable doing that.
I guess it’s deeply hard-wired. It is just something that feels right to me,” he added.
“I don’t necessarily consider things like strength of will, courage, etc., to be masculine attributes.”
Cameron stated that things needed to change. Masculinity needed to stop being advertised in the way that it was and writers as well as directors should lean more towards feminist ideals than toxic masculine norms.
